Xiao Pingping,male,born in 1958,is a member of the Communist Party of China and a senior engineer.He is now the chairman of Xiangtan Hengxin Industrial Co.,Ltd.,and has successively won the first prize of the National Coal Machinery Science and Technology Progress Award,the National Invention and Entrepreneurship Award,the May 1st Labor Medal of Hunan Province,the first New Hunan Contribution Award,the sixth Hunan Provincial Governor Quality Award,the exemplary individual of developing non-public economy and small and medium-sized enterprises in Hunan Province,the top ten outstanding patent inventors in Hunan Province Honors such as Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of the First Xiangtan City.
Having been dealing with this"old friend"of Monkey Car for nearly 20 years,Xiao Gongping has gone through hundreds or even thousands of mines and has seen tens of thousands of miners"digging"in the darkness.The faces covered in coal dust and the bitterness behind them often touched his sensory nerves.

Many people call him the"Monkey King of China"in the mining equipment manufacturing industry,but Xiao Gongping thinks he is just an ordinary person.If he insists on finding a difference,it is that he has been focusing on one thing for nearly 20 years-making monkey cars.

For miners,Xiao Gongping has a natural affection.
In 1958,Xiao Gongping was born into a peasant family in You County,Zhuzhou,China.To support his family,his father and older brother often went to the coal mine not far from home to dig coal."The underground tunnels were low and low,and they were shirtless,crawling like frogs to transport coal out.The hardships were unimaginable for children today."
After graduating from vocational school,Xiao Gongping was assigned to Jiangnan Machinery Factory.Thanks to his diligence and eagerness to learn,he went from being an intern riveter to becoming a general manager,and in 1999,he went abroad to establish Xiangtan Hengxin Industrial Co.,Ltd.
30000 yuan and 8 people were Xiao Pingping's initial entrepreneurial background.After earning his first bucket of gold in the familiar construction and installation industry,Xiao Gongping switched to the field of mining machinery manufacturing and vowed to do something for the miners.
"Although China's coal industry was in its golden age at that time,the working environment for miners and the frequent occurrence of coal mine accidents did not significantly improve.The equipment for miners to go up and down the shaft was still outdated.Even though a few coal mines used overhead passenger devices(commonly known as monkey cars)for going up and down the shaft,the technology was very outdated and the safety performance was extremely low."Xiao Gongping sighed,"That's life after life!"

Entrepreneurs are naturally fond of adventure.
Aiming at the shortcomings in the domestic monkey car manufacturing field,Xiao Gongping led a few technical personnel from scratch,learning and researching while exploring,and finally developed the first mechanically driven monkey car in 2004,which was put into use in Anyuan Coal Mine,Jiangxi.

As a recognized leader in the field of domestic monkey cars,more than one million miners ride Xiao Pingping's monkey cars every day in China,with a running length of over 2000 kilometers.Under the leadership of Xiao Pingping,this"monkey"from Chairman Mao's hometown not only climbed to the throne of domestic sales champion,but also jumped out of the country,bringing good news to miners in coal producing countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam.
Although the market share has been consistently ranked first in China for many years,Xiao Pingping is still busy improving the technical performance of monkey car products.He joked that he had"OCD"and would only give up if the product was to the extreme.Guided by this spirit,he and his team developed a track monkey car with performance surpassing hydraulic monkey cars in 2016,once again leaving the name of the Chinese in the world of monkey car manufacturing.

64 year old Xiao Gongping still arrives at work every morning without moving.His colleague Yang Dan told us that in everyone's eyes,Xiao Pingping always has an endless drive to find fault in the workshop,to pick on the test line,and to soak up the laboratory...His dedication and persistence make young people around him feel inferior.
