August 1st Army Day
On July 11,1933,the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic decided to designate August 1 as the anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army.From then on,August 1st became the Army Day of the Chinese Workers'and Peasants'Red Army and later the People's Liberation Army.On August 1st of that year,the first"August 1st"commemorative event in history was held at the Red Army Square in Yeping,Ruijin.In the evening of that day,the Red Army parade and parade were held at Zhuma Gang in the south of Ruijin City.From then on,August 1st officially became the Army Day of the People's Army.Therefore,it can be said that Nanchang was the place where the military flag was raised,while Ruijin was the place where the August 1st Army Day was born.

The Nanchang Uprising broke out on August 1,1927,marking the beginning of the CPC's independent leadership of the revolutionary war,the creation of the people's army and the armed seizure of power,and opening a new era of Chinese revolution.
On August 1,1935,the delegation of the Communist Party of China to the Communist International drafted the"Letter of Appeal to All Compatriots by the Chinese Soviet Government and the Central Committee of the CPC for Resisting Japan and Saving the Nation"(August 1 Declaration).The declaration advocates stopping the civil war,organizing a national defense government and an anti Japanese coalition to fight against Japan.
