Xiao Pingping was born into a peasant family in Panlian Village,Liantangao Township,You County,Hunan Province.After graduating from high school in 1974,at the age of 16,he worked with his parents in the production team as a main laborer who recorded 10 work points per day.In 1977,the national college entrance examination was resumed,and Xiao Gongping felt that an opportunity had come.He wanted to step out of the mountains and get rid of poverty.In 1978,Xiao Gongping was admitted to the Mechanical Manufacturing major of Jiangnan Machinery Factory Vocational School with excellent grades.
In December 1980,Xiao Gongping was assigned to the Jiangnan Machinery Factory Construction and Installation Company after graduating.Due to his outstanding work and hard work,he became the captain of the installation team the following year.In 1984,he was appointed as the head of the planning department,and in 1993,he was appointed as the deputy general manager.In 1996,Xiao Pingping was transferred to Xiangtan Sanhuan Industrial Co.,Ltd.as the General Manager.During his 6 years at Jiangnan Machinery Factory and 3 years at Sanhuan Industrial,he learned a lot of knowledge,laying a solid foundation for his future entrepreneurship.
In 1999,due to financial constraints at Sanhuan Industrial,employees were unable to receive a penny of salary.After careful consideration,Xiao Pingping felt that only he could save himself.He resolutely went to sea and founded Xiangtan Hengxin Industrial Co.,Ltd.
The enterprise has changed,but his entrepreneurial spirit has not changed
Xiangtan Hengxin entered the coal mining machinery industry from April 2004,mainly engaged in the production and sales of auxiliary transportation machinery for coal mines.Its main products include overhead passenger devices(commonly known as"monkey cars"),endless rope continuous traction vehicles(commonly known as"shuttle cars"),mining broadcasting devices,explosion-proof electrical products,etc.
Like many start-up companies,the Xiangtan Hengxin factory had weak technological capabilities,low market brand awareness,and limited equipment and space at the beginning of entrepreneurship.At that time,the factory was small in scale and had a single product variety,with only over 30 employees.As the chairman and general manager,Xiao Pingping overcame various difficulties with a pragmatic and hardworking spirit.
His technical strength is not strong.He hires mechanical and electrical professionals with high salaries for technical research and development,and personally leads technical personnel to conduct on-site inspections in the mine;The market brand awareness is not high.From 2004 to 2007,Xiao Pingping spent nearly 200 days every year traveling to major coal producing areas such as Southwest,South China,and Northeast China with product brochures,doing both market promotion and technical services;Due to limited equipment and space,he continuously expanded the company's scale,introduced advanced automatic processing equipment,improved the company's production conditions,and doubled the factory area to become a 20000 square meter comprehensive factory.The second phase of the factory,completed in 2011,was even transformed into a dust-free workshop.It is during these years that Xiangtan Hengxin has occupied a place in the coal mining market,and its monkey car technology has also surpassed the level of its peers.

Considering these,Xiao Pingping deeply realizes that it is necessary to enhance competitive advantage through product innovation.He organized technical personnel to conduct technical discussions and analysis on the product,visited multiple customers,and conducted extensive market information research.Based on the characteristics of the industry,he finally decided to develop a hydraulic driven monkey car.
At that time,none of the domestic monkey car manufacturers produced hydraulic driven monkey cars,and only imported products from Germany were available in the domestic market.Their technology had always been monopolized by German manufacturers,and their high prices and difficult supply of accessories had always constrained the development of hydraulic driven monkey cars in China.Xiao Pingping led his technical team to demonstrate a pioneering spirit.He decided to collaborate with Central South University through industry university research cooperation to develop a hydraulic driven monkey car.The prototype of the hydraulic driven monkey car was successfully developed and put into use in 2008,receiving high praise from users.After years of promotion and use,good economic benefits have been achieved.
In 2008,the hydraulic driven monkey car was appraised by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology,and the conclusion was that it filled the domestic gap,ranked at the international advanced level in technology,and completely replaced foreign imported products.The hydraulic driven monkey cart has obtained a total of 23 safety certification certificates for mining products in two major series(heavy hammer tensioning and hydraulic tensioning);A total of 25 patents have been applied for,including 1 PCT international patent,4 invention patents,17 utility model patents,and 3 design patents;Listed as a key science and technology plan project in Hunan Province and Xiangtan City;Received the third prize for scientific and technological progress in Hunan Province and the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Xiangtan City;In 2010,a novelty search was conducted by the Provincial Institute of Science and Technology Information,and the conclusion of the novelty search was that there were no literature reports on hydraulic drive devices for cableways with the same technical characteristics as the novelty search project in the retrieved literature;In 2011,it won the Silver Award at the National Invention Exhibition and was included in the National Torch Project.In 2012,it was approved as a"Major Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project"by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.Its product performance completely replaces foreign imports,and the price is less than half of the imported products,saving the country a lot of foreign exchange resources.
