CCTV News(News Broadcast):The Central Organization Department released new party statistics on June 30th.By the end of 2019,the total number of members of the CPC was 91.914 million,a net increase of 1.32 million over the previous year.There are 4.681 million grassroots party organizations,a net increase of 71000 compared to the previous year.The cohesion and combat effectiveness of the CPC have been continuously strengthened,the Party's organizational system has been more sound,and the Party's ruling foundation has been further consolidated.
The number of party members has steadily increased.The total number of party members nationwide increased by 1.5%,an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the previous year.Throughout the year,2.344 million Party members were recruited,an increase of 289000 compared to the previous year.The number of Party members recruited from industrial workers,young farmers,highly educated groups,non-public economic organizations,and social organizations increased significantly.
The education and management of party members have been continuously strengthened.Party organizations at all levels have carried out in-depth education on the theme of"not forgetting the original intention and keeping the mission in mind",increased the education and training of Party members,and the number of Party members trained throughout the year increased by 24.3%compared to the previous year.99.7%of townships directly organized centralized training for rural Party members.
The role of grassroots party organizations in the fight against poverty has been strengthened,with 240000 first secretaries selected,achieving full coverage of poverty-stricken villages and weak and scattered party organizations.Grassroots basic security efforts have been increased,with 95.8%of communities implementing special funds for serving the people.Throughout the year,50000 village level organizational activity venues were newly built or expanded.The party building work of state-owned enterprises,government agencies,universities,public hospitals,non-public enterprises,and social organizations has been further improved.
