On April 22,the Hunan High Court held a press conference on intellectual property trials,releasing the 2015 judicial protection status of intellectual property and the top ten typical cases,including the case of Zhu and Li infringing on the trade secrets of Xiangtan Hengxin.
Zhu Zhuzhuo was originally the sales manager of Xiangtan Hengxin,and Li Guixiang was a technical engineer of Xiangtan Hengxin.In 2009 and 2010,he switched to Yangzhou Best,which competed with Xiangtan Hengxin,as the general manager and technical director.The two intentionally disclosed their respective technical information of Xiangtan Hengxin to Yangzhou Best,knowing that they had a confidentiality obligation towards the trade secrets of Xiangtan Hengxin,and applied it to the production and sales of their products,causing significant economic losses to Xiangtan Hengxin.After nearly three years of investigation and trial,the Intermediate People's Court of Xiangtan City finally convicted the two individuals of infringing on trade secrets in 2014.
Xiangtan Hengxin is one of the first enterprises in Hunan Province to pass the certification of intellectual property management system,and the first leading intellectual property enterprise in Hunan Province.It attaches great importance to the protection of intellectual property.We have applied for more than 50 invention patents and more than 200 utility models,including nearly 20 authorized valid invention patents and more than 100 valid utility models.We have filed a lawsuit against Yangzhou Best for infringement of 6 patent rights of Xiangtan Hengxin(4 patent lawsuits have been won,and 2 patent lawsuits are in the final review by the Hunan Provincial High People's Court).
